Five Bay Country Figure Skating Club adult members competed at the Washington Figure Skating Club's annual New Years Invitational Feb. 16-17 in Woodbridge, Va. Left to right: Karen Moffett of Denton, Md., who debuted her new dramatic entertainment program; Cindy Mullarkey of Milford, silver in dramatic entertainment; Joanna Wilson of Dover, gold in dramatic entertainment; Jean Watson of Georgetown, gold in freestyle; and Paul Moffett of Denton, Md., silver in light entertainment. Karen Moffett and Paul Moffett will compete in Adult Eastern Sectionals in Philadelphia next month. Bay Country FSC's adult skaters are also training and looking forward to next year's US Figure Skating Adult Nationals to be hosted in 2020 by the University of Delaware. 

Bay Country Figure Skating Club, located in Harrington De, is excited to announce they have begun their 2018/2019 season.  

BCFSC is proud to announce they have opened their season with excitement and success with their three fundraisers!  The annual mum fundraiser was a huge success!  New this year was a Chipotle fundraiser in Dover, DE and the “Fancloth” apparel fundraiser.  In total the group raised $1,800.

Top supporters for the fundraisers are pictured below:  Alaya McCarthy of Laurel DE, Isabella Metz of Lewes, De, and Isabella Woodworth of Ridgley, MD, Ryleigh Sheehan of Felton, DE and Tori Lingo of Lewes, DE. 

The group is working diligently to raise money to help pay for the costly ice time that is associated with the sport of figure skating.  Look for more fundraisers and ways to support by visiting our Facebook page The Bay Country Figure Skating Club.

BCFS was established in 1982 in Maryland and eventually came to Harrington, DE where it remains today.  Forty Two members currently make up the club. 

 

The club is made up of both children and adults who enjoy skating of all levels.  BCFSC mission is to provide a safe, family and friendly environment for people of all ages. BCFSC provides supportive coaches who help skaters to build self-esteem, good sportsmanship as well helping skaters to reach their full potential of skating, whether it is recreational or competitive skating.  In addition, the club gives members the opportunity to make friends that will last a lifetime.
